There are hot summers, extremely cold winters, a rebirth in the spring, and breathtaking colours in the autumn. All four season are beautiful and distinct in the Karakoram. It is easy to get fooled here by the temperatures for they can change drastically from day to night and according to elevation. Storms come and go though most of the rainfall takes place from later winter to early spring with summer showers in the south and higher elevated regions.

The people here truly are made up from the earth of this region. They rely on their land and the environment and live according to it, fairing the harshness it often offers. Travelers to this area will find the relation between the people and their land fascinating
